Changing planes in Frankfurt, Germany
|
We woke up on board the plane bright and
early. We ate breakfast and got ready to land. We landed in
Frankfurt, then went through customs to our connecting flight. When
we first took off in Frankfurt there was a break in the clouds. It
was so pretty. It reminded me of the song "Holes In The Floor Of
Heaven"
|
Choir girls were waking up, and this group sang a song for us!

|
In an hour we were in the airport looking for our connecting
flight to Munich.
|
Arrival in Munich, Germany
We have landed in Munich! The tram takes us to
the gate.
We claim our luggage and load the bus and trailer.

|
We met our bus drivers and tour escorts. Our bus drivers
were Peter and Rudy.
|
We had lots of luggage - smile Laura, it's going to be fun!
Next stop, downtown Munich and...lunch!
We see a familiar site, can you find it in this picture?
HOORAY, McDonalds!!!
After lunch, we begin our tour of Munich!

There was lots to see. We got out of the bus for a walking
tour of Munich. We tried to check into the hotel, but it was too
early so we watched the Glockenspiel Clock.

The Texas Girls Choir in front of the Glockenspiel.
It is a sight to see. We took a picture in front
of City Hall.
The Glockenspeil plays only at certain times.
We wait for the Glockenspiel to chime at 5:00 p.m.
Shirley Carter wrote:
"The walking tour was informative and we especially
liked the
Glockenspiel with life-size figures dancing and
soldiers battling."
|
It was a clock that told a story of the king and the festival
he had.

We got back to the hotel and walked next door to Weissbierkeller to have dinner at about 8:00. We had pork and German potato salad. We got back to our hotel, went to our rooms, took showers and settled into bed. Jessica Elizondo |
